The new Mercedes-Benz Style Coupe Concept made an early debut recently for the Los Angeles, CA art crowd several days before it was slated to officially make its entrance at the Beijing Motor Show. In its artsy reveal, the concept vehicle starred alongside a sound installation produced by Adam Horowitz of the Beastie Boys. The debut was part of the Mercedes-Benz Transmission LA: AV Club, curated by Mike D., also of the Beastie Boys.

The new Style Coupe Concept provides a glimpse of what we can expect from the production version of the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, set to make its appearance sometime in 2013. The CLA-Class will be targeted towards younger, hipper drivers. It fit in perfectly with the large amount of art on display at the Transmission LA event, showcasing its edginess and commitment to futuristic styling.

There were sixteen artists on display at the event, including: Will Fowler, Jonah Freeman/Justin Lowe, Cory Arcangel, Roy Choi, Sanford Biggers, Jim Drain, Ara Peterson, Robert McKinely, Tom  Sachs, Sage Vaughn, Ben Jones, Takeshi Murata, Jim Drain/Ara Peterson, and Mike Mills. The vehicle and art displays will be on display at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA through May 6, 2012.
